Veteran Actress Jaya Prada's Mother Neelaveni Passes Away Due To Age-Related Illness In Hyderabad
Veteran actor and BJP MP Jaya Prada's mother Neelaveni passed away in Hyderabad on February 1. She was reportedly 81. Jaya's mother was suffering from severe health problems for quite some time. She breathed her last at a private hospital. According to reports, Jaya Prada's mother's condition was extremely critical. After learning about her mother's demise, Jaya, who was in Delhi due to work, rushed to Hyderabad to perform her mother's last rites.

As per a report published in ETimes, Jaya Prada was very close to her mother. She even credited her success in the film industry to her. Her mother played an important role in shaping her career in the industry. After completing her primary schooling in the Telugu medium in Rajamundry, Jaya Prada was trained by her mother in various art forms and later she stepped into the film industry.

Some of her memorable films include Anthuleni Katha, Seeta Kalyanam, Yamagola, Sanaadi Appanna, Siri Siri Muvva, Sargam, Kaamchor, Sharaabi, Sanjoq, Aaj Ka Arjun, Habba, Pranayam, Ee Bandhana, Devadoothan and Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna. After achieving success in Bollywood as well as the South Indian film industry, Jaya Prada moved to politics. She was at the peak of her career when she entered politics in 1994 at the age of 32 after being approached by NT Rama Rao, the father of the Telugu Desam Party. She was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh in 1996.

She is currently serving as an MP from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
